Have You Committed Wealth Suicide?

by MJ DeMarco · 10 comments

Often times success is what NOT to do versus what TO DO.  It is wealth suicide to end your education at graduation as your education is the oil for your engine to wealth … when was the last time you changed it?

    MJ,

Great video post. Because of the potentially dangerous nature of some tasks, I wouldn’t rely on just ONE source though….from a “how-to” standpoint, Google’s Panda algorithm change is doing a mass gutting of sites like eHow, HubPages, Suite101, etc, which are notorious for having built thousands of pages of content (some great and some questionably inaccurate) which offer free information that is monetized alongside Google Adsense ads.

Information is great, and discipline is necessary…but, it’s also important to draw from several sources and determine what is the best, most safest, course of action.

    Hi MJ,

Love your video, I totally agree with you that continuous learning is so important.

I told someone I read your book last weekend and how amazing I thought it was, and her response was “The thing I don’t understand is… you have read hundreds of books in this area, surely they are all just the same, and you are reading the same things over and over again.”

I explained that I always get something new, and also get reminded of some of the basic principles, I am so focused on creating a lifestyle based on freedom, and just dedicate myself to learning and applying knowledge.

I would struggle to know people in my local area that feel the same way about life long education, I have had to join mastermind groups and have cyber friends just to build relationships with likeminded people.

Good video MJ. Very very true. I had a relationship once that was doomed simply because, when she got home, she had no desire to think or use her mind. She said,”that’s what work is for.” Not my view.

And MJ, is that your backyard?

    Yes sir!

    MJ —

    1) So glad to see you’re using video on your site! I spend more of my time than I’d like to explaining why video makes sense online but I’m not surprised you already understand that!

    2) I think you SHOULD dog college education. Not all the time, not in every circumstance, but the basic four-year degree is a VASTLY overvalued commodity. Case in point, I graduated from a small class from a private college prep K-12 school. My peers all went to respectable schools and earned degrees, most of them graduating a year or so ago. I dropped out after one quarter to build a video production company and I’m doing much better than they are by all objective measures. It’s not the degree. It just isn’t.

    Keep up the great work!

after graduation,   it’s not the end of learning. you maybe working and all but the learning to
continue, in fact it was endless. so continue learning and apply it to your
    daily life.
